About the role
You will be working on challenging projects as part of a skilled and enthusiastic development team of 11 developers. Like all our developers, you will be encouraged to play a key role in driving the future technology of the company.
About you
You will be an experienced .NET web developer who treats development as more than just your ‘day job’. As a matter of course you keep yourself up to date with the latest development technologies and practices. You have taken time to familiarise yourself with technologies like ASP.NET 4.0, Silverlight 4, .NET framework 4.0 and ASP.NET MVC 3.0. You take pride in your work and strive for perfection but also understand the importance of working within agreed timeframes and prevailing development practices and coding standards.
Essential skills and experience
Min 5 years commercial web development experience with ASP.NET using C#
Extensive experience using JavaScript and client-side frameworks like jQuery / prototype
Commercial experience using AJAX and SOA, preferably with a good understanding of distributed transactions
Working understanding of HTML5 and CSS3.0
Extensive knowledge of usability, accessibility and W3C standards
Strong analytical skills for technical problem solving
Good understanding of software development patterns
Desirable skills
Experience in mobile technologies, iPhone, Android, Symbian, Blackberry
Good understanding of Enterprise architectural patterns.
